The annual “Hope for the Holidays” community education programs will start on Saturday, November 5 from 9-11:30 a.m. and again on Saturday, November 12 from 9-11:30 a.m.

The workshops are sponsored by Community Grief Support (CGS).

Following the loss of a loved one, the first holiday season can bring on a great deal of stress, anxiety, depression, anger and especially sadness. CGS is offering three free “Hope for the Holidays” workshops/seminars to help those who are facing their first holidays as a loss survivor.

The November 5 workshop will be held at Southminster Presbyterian Church in Vestavia Hills and the November 12 workshop will be located at Guiding Light Church in Irondale.

A continental breakfast will be served at each seminar and the program begins at 9:30 a.m. LPC-S/LMFT, CGS Clinical Director Steve Sweatt will lead the workshops/seminars.

For nearly 30 years, CGS has provided, at no cost, individual, couples and family grief counseling. No one should have to grieve alone.
